Writing coach in Portland
Out of your head and onto the page.
I believe that creative block is both an obstacle and a clue. So long as you are willing to show up to your work every week—there’s a way towards writing the darn thing and getting it in front of your audience.
Here’s my unscientific theory of creative block:
Writing is not one skill, but four. The way to work through a challenge or question that comes up when you’re using one skill probably requires using one of the other skills.
As a writing coach, I can help you develop all four skills—and figure out when you need each one. No more staring at the blinking cursor.
Creative block-buster
6-week cycle— $750
We’ll get together for weekly working sessions where we’ll work through your biggest obstacles and uncover ways of using your greatest strengths. Assignments, feedback, check-in calls… baby, it’ll feel like I only have eyes for you.
In clients' words:
-
MJ was an attentive listener who engaged in a dynamic conversation, understanding and shaping a shared understanding to bring out a new and dynamic vision. MJ asks critical questions that inspire thought and deep reflection. MJ also used creative methods to evoke new thoughts about my ideas and concepts.
- RW
-
MJ has been able to quickly get the essence of my fuzzy thoughts and turn them into a powerful speech that will be the starting point of my new business.
- GLV
-
I'd recommend that someone who has been crafting a message for themselves connect with MJ to understand more about how they're presenting and how to bring together that magic. MJ would be a great fit for a creative thinker who has a mature idea and is ready to flourish that well thought out idea.
